A very very long time ago, which is actually just around 4
months ago, I could roam the alleys of the NIIT University and feel like a
Spartan. There were hardly 300 of us in all and yet we felt like we could kick
some serious butts regardless of our small numbers. The clean and green and serene
campus was our little piece of heaven. And more importantly the couples we have on
campus, they loved this University, if you know what I mean.
But that’s the talk of the old times. Few things don’t change,
but NU does. Now I feel less like a Spartan and more like a freaking
theoretical physicist lost in the fish market! We’ve definitely crossed 700 in
no.’s in the past few months itself and they always keep coming. And only GOD
knows how many courses these guys have opened, but I see people from all kinds
of fields - B. Tech, MBA, MCA, F & B, Coal Fields, Farms, Fields in Assam
near the Brahmaputra valley, in short all kinds of “fields”!
But still we try walking with our chins held high, and our
noses kept clean and assuming that we’re still the kings and queens of this University.
And the couples, well ummmm…. They try finding, hiding, making out new places while many have given up and taken the path
of the monks and nuns.
Oh and how could I forget the mess?!!!!
Actually lets just forget the mess. I’ll talk on it further when
I’ll be more of in a depressed mood.
